Road
Kill Press was
founded on July 4, 1994 and is a co-operative of fine art
printmakers dedicated to the creating and displaying of works of art on
paper.
The Press is located in Kent,
Connecticut ,
a picturesque town in Litchfield County known for its concentration of
art galleries and its
large
population of artists and craftspeople. Membership
is open to the public.
The
Press began simply as
a warehouse space with a Vandercook proofing press and Charles Brand
lithography and etching presses. It has since developed into a complete
intaglio and relief printmaking facility and an educational resource
for the county.
Road
Kill Press offers workshops, which are open to the public, in a wide
variety of printmaking techniques and sponsors a traveling exhibit that
educates the
public
on the art of printmaking. See News for more information.
